Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

It works perfectly with the file you gave me loutch. I don't know what the heck is happening...

EDIT: Just saw your last post, glad to know it finally worked!

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

Before i put it in 2b file ,  in wunderground conkyrc i had tree launcher for executable script

${execi 1800 bash $HOME/2b_Wunderground_API/2b} for 2b
${execi 1200 bash ~/.conky/barograph/barognuplotw.sh } for the barograph
${execi 1800 bash $HOME/2b_Wunderground_API/alerte.sh} for the alerts

Conky maybe does not work with a demand for more two scripts ececutable and as I had three.

THANKS again for your help and your great work.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

I don't thing that should cause problems - unless you didn't turn off the "stop" "start" conky functions in the scripts.

Near the beginning of the scripts:

#kill -STOP $(pidof conky)
#killall wget

Near the end of the scripts - or last line:

#kill -CONT $(pidof conky)

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

It would be better if you merged all scripts together.
The STOP command in one script could hinder the other ones.

Re: Conky weather+moon scripts (Accuw/WUndergr/Weather.com/NWS/MoonGiant)

Today while cruising around the internet I found myself at DeviantArt in the conky section.  Big surprise there.  smile

And I saw Conky HTC Home Spill with some really interesting weather icons.
Preview.jpg  When I read the README in the archive - I just had to get it:

To install just move or copy the ".Conky" hidden folder to you user folder.

Don't forget to install the fonts!!!

Go to
www.accuweather.com
type in your location and press enter. If your location is found and you can see a
forecast, copy and keep the web address somewhere.

Open the script ".Conky/htc_home/accuweather/accuw_script" with your favourite text editor and replace my location's address at the
"adress=" with yours (taken from www.accuweather.com).

To put conky to start with the system go to "startup applications" and add in the "command" the file ".Conky/htc_home/start_conky.sh"

Accuweather Script taken from "TeoBigusGeekus_Conky_Weather_Scripts"
Visit: "http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1156383" for more info.

Enjoy!!!

Accuweather & "TeoBigusGeekus_Conky_Weather_Scripts" & Ubuntu forums = OH YEA!  This is OLD gotta get it and see if it works.
2016_05_31_23_10_07_Scrot11.jpg
Of course I had to tweak a few things ... changed the font and made sure it was one I could read - size wise.

NOT BAD!  Still have a few tweaks to do and then check out the images that came with it.  smile
I downloaded the archive to a test directory and used the conky right from there but pointed the accuweather calls to my working 1b1) Accuweather - Images - 1b1_29-10-15 script and images.

So if you grab it, it does work but with a bit of work on your side.

This is what I did with it:

Thanks a lot S11, I appreciate it.

It looks very nice, but I'm biased as I'm an HTC fan boy... tongue

Waiting for it's final form so I can add a link on the front page.

@ Teo - I have no idea what HTC is - until just now and have no clue as to how that figures into all this.  smile

@f80 - Go for it!
