[SOLVED]Installing from a USB, operating system not found at startup.

I'm currently using Ubuntu LTS 16.04 and attempting to install bunsenlabs to a new partition. I've put the .iso file on a USB formatted to FAT32 using the dd command outlined in the installation instructions. When I enter the boot menu I select the USB option and a message appears saying no OS detected. Upon pressing enter I boot into my Ubuntu partition.

In searching for a solution I haven't found any support on this regarding bunsenlabs, except for multiple threads where it was stated that I should NOT use UNetbootin (which is what I used initially).

I've tried using two different USB ports. I've also tried un-mounting the USB before restarting and mounting the USB before restarting.

Disable Secure Boot in your firmware ("BIOS") options.

You will also have to enable "CSM" or "Legacy" mode as BunsenLabs does not support UEFI currently, see my signature for workarounds.

It works, the problem was pure oversight on my part. I was moving the iso onto /dev/sdb1 not /dev/sdb which I didn't realize would be an issue. Thanks for the response!

Yes, "sdb" is the drive, "sdb1" is a partition on that drive.
