Hello there, I am fairly new to BunsenLabs even though I've used Crunchbang before. I am also new to Linux.
I've installed BL on my ASUS X451M-VX2970, I mannaged to do that, don't know how, but i did. After installation, it couldn't see my HDD, so no linux boot, only BIOS. Fixed that. Now, the only problem I have, is with my WI-FI. I tried a lot of guides from this forum, nothing seems to work. I want to keep this OS so please help me with this problem.
Here is some info. Please tell me if you need more and sorry for my bad language.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the issue is that your wlan0 is specified in the interfaces.d. NetworkManager by default ignores anything that is set there. Either change the ifupdown managed =false and set it to true.... or remove the wlan0 from the interfaces list . So it looks like this:
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
Reboot, and see what crappens.
Again I could be off with this, but I think that may be the issue here...

^ yes, i heard that too, many times: networkmanager wants to sit on ALL your connections. don't specify them in /etc/network/interfaces*.
but then the script seems to say that you don't have networkmanager installed, but wicd instead?
changing between wicd and networkmanager is tricky, because they can't coexist even in a passive state.
so you have to purge one completely before (re)installing the other.
after all that, it could still be a firmware issue.
if you still have problems, please post what's requested here.

Thanks for the fast reply. I solved it by installing some broadcom drivers for my card, from the debian rep. Now seems to work fine. I hope it will remain that way. Thanks again

please elaborate on your solution.
other users with similar problems will benefit.
life's a 2-way street.
then add [Solved] to the title (by editing post #1). thanks.

I've installed the package for my card. I read about it on the official Debian Wiki.
https://wiki.debian.org/bcm43xx
Now it's working fine.

This would probably be useful for other Broadcom users:

I have added "Broadcom" to the thread title to aid SEO
