[SOLVED]Upgrade Iceweasel

Is there a safe way to upgrade Iceweasel to to lastest version ? Without causing problems in future updates of the system.

No, you already have the very latest version of Iceweasel.

Debian testing/unstable has already switched to Firefox so you will have to change to that if you want access to the latest features.

I would recommend adding the Mozilla jessie-backports repository, see this guide for instructions:

Re: [SOLVED]Upgrade Iceweasel

I have installed successfully. We can close this topic. I have only some questions. If new version of Firefox will appear I've just have to use apt-get update and apt-get upgrade commands ? Rest of the system will be updated from stable repositories/sources - I don't want backport for the rest of system.

No, we will add [SOLVED] to the title! You can do it yourself next time BTW, by editing the title of your first post wink

Yes, the package will be updated as part of `apt-get upgrade`

Yes, the rest of the system will just use the normal repositories, backports are only installed when targeted explicitly.
