My aim is to get rid of the System Tray from Tint2. I figure Conky shows pretty much all the information in it, including battery levels and volume, so there's no real need to show it there, apart from one thing. I can't find a way to search for WiFi networks without using the system tray icon. Is there an application already installed that can do something similar? Best I've found is Network Connections, but it only has manual SSID entry.

I always forget the Terminal, haha! iwlist doesn't do much when you're already connected to a network, it would seem. But thanks for the lead, I did find this:
nmcli dev wifi list
Has a pretty neat results list. However, it's still a bit of a manual process making the connection, hence why I was asking about an app I suppose. Show the networks, select network, enter password at prompt, configure the rest automatically.

Could you not use the terminal version of NetworkManager?
