Could always try and go for a WASD code, they're also rather nice.

Also I got my Magicforce 68 a little over a week ago, Cherry greens are some rather nice, and clicky, switches!

I looked at the clear switch model of the CODE board, because the brown switch model was out of stock.

That shipping cost is a bit of a dream killer..

Re: BL Keyboard discussion thread

Well I'd take a gamble on the Quickfire Rapid then, there are numerous resources that can help you out should something go wrong.

you can probably find the one(s) I frequent at lol

I've had some less than fruitful experiences with sellers on E-Bay.de. hmm

I'll bite the bullet and risk the failing LEDs, the rapid-i seems like a really good deal for what you get and I can always send it back.

it's not the first mechanical keyboard I've had, it certainly won't be the last.
After a flashy one with blinky blinkies, I'll grab one of those POK3R boards everyone is raving about. Maybe it'll be the kick up the ass I need to actually learn vim.

EDIT: After reviewing seeing the reviews in multiple languages I've decided against this board. There are way to many people complaining about too many issues with this board.

I know it's bordering on eye cancer, but this option doesn't seem that bad. The key cap font is okay on the ISO-DE.
Here's a review in German

I'm willing to compromise on LED color for the sake of reliability. I read somewhere that red LEDs have a lower fail rate? So that's a good thing.

that eye cancer is actually not eye cancer. It's kinda hard to make a Tenkeyless keyboard an eye cancer lol

Tbh they actually gave some similar warnings about my Quickfire TK, but that keyboard is rather solid, even though now my mother is borrowing it for the time being 8o

I think it's all the red that bothered me at first but I'm actually starting to like it.

It's a simple board that's easily modified... for some reason I'm more comfortable with the idea of voiding the warranty, swapping out LEDs and making the USB cable detachable, because it costs less.

Is that actually a mechy keyboard?  Never been a fan of the crazy lights, and "ricey" looks...  I still love my model M I posted earlier in this thread, but I may be in the market for another soon.   Does anyone have a rec. for a buckling spring mechy that has a volume knob for sound control?

if it wasn't a mechy why would I have purchased it?

And the backlighting on it is crazy/ricey? RGB backlit keyboards are crazy/ricey, this is tame in comparison lol. And arguably, backlight keyboards actually are quite beneficial if you work in the dark a lot.

and from what I know, Cherry MX Greens and Buckling Springs have similar stiffness. So... something with Greens, Although blues would work too.

and DAS Keyboard's is the only one I can think of that has the volume knob and doesn't look like a gamer gimmic.

^ I think they mean this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snv2Wny3y3g

And I agree about the looks, more office keyboard meets Hi-Fi than another suspect in the garish gamer line-up.
