[Solved] Converting Machine to Live CD

Hi,
I've been searching around and I've mostly got documentation on making your own Ubuntu LiveCD from your machine. Will this work in making my own bunsenlabs live cd? I'd like to be able to install my configurations on any platform. Open to any suggestions on how to go about this.
Thanks,
BBH

Re: [Solved] Converting Machine to Live CD

Which documentation?

NB Ubuntu uses caspar and upstart IIRC, which is completely different from BL.

See this thread: Remastering Bunsen

Re: [Solved] Converting Machine to Live CD

Hey Damo,
Thanks for the lead here! I was having problems on phrasing my search this morning.
Crunchmaster - for making a Live iso from your own Crunchbang install
This should work! As the machine I'm trying to convert over is actually #!

This was the documentation I found from Ubuntu. Followed by many youtube video's on this subject.

Do you have anymore pointers and experiences with Crunchmaster, that you would like to share?

I haven't done anything with it since the start of BL development. Crunchmaster was working OK with Waldorf (Wheezy), and with some tweaks it also handled Crunchbang upgraded to Jessie. That HowTo should have the info you need.

NB The cb-welcome script is broken (the crunchbang repos are discontinued), so you may have to do some serious tweaking to be able to install a fully-functioning system from a live remastered #!

This was the documentation I found from Ubuntu.

- which can't work for remastering CB/BL, AFAICS. It requires ubiquity, caspar, plymouth, or other ubuntu-specific packages.

Your link to crunchmaster_1.2-wheezy.tar is currently broken. Do you have that file laying around somewhere?

That didn't end to well hahaha. I have snapshots though. Just wanted to give you an update. I went down the refracta path. Going to give it another go soon. Will keep this thread updated for future references.
