Wirless, DHCP not working.

Dears,

Recently I have installed Bunsenlabs using USB stick. During installation eth0 connection was used.  Post installation i am trying to use wirless using  USB Wireless stick.

Initially it connects to internet and able to browse internet connect, but after 3 min DHCPv6 gets timeout.
And the internet connection gets lost.

But i dont face this issue with Ethernet  eth0. Could you please provide path forward for resolution?

Re: Wirless, DHCP not working.

Can you also provide terminal output of:

nmcli connection show path /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Settings/0

I suppose a heavy handed approach would just be to right click on your network-manager applet icon and disable ipv6?

I have already tried to disable DHCPv6 and enable DHCPv4, still the issue is same.

All i suspect is when it is trying to renew the DHCP, the connection gets break and not able to reestablish properly.

Note:- I am using this USB device for past 3 years with Cruchbang linux, never this issue was faced.

That device is a known "bad egg" unfortunately sad

You can try a patched version of that driver by following the instructions in this thread:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/471208/ … -rtl8192cu

Can we also see the output of:

iwconfig
modinfo rtl8192cu

You may need to install the wireless-tools package to get the `iwconfig` command.
