Edit the file at /etc/default/grub (as root!) and change this line as follows:

GRUB_TIMEOUT=0

Then save the file and run:

sudo update-grub

You should now boot straight to your login screen wink

If you want to see the GRUB menu again, hold down the <Shift> key during start up.

I think this is what you're asking for...

Hello Head_on_a_Stick

thanks for the tip but the time out of the grup I need to choose the S.O. I have two of them.
if you see the point 3 that I completed before I wrote that I have to press Enter to bring up the console after bunselab has started ...

thank you so much

Re: [SOLVED] How to start bunselab without LightDM

So, your start up stalls for a while at the:

cfg00211: calling CRDA for country: UK

but will proceed without error if you hit enter?

What happens if you don't hit enter, does it time out and continue with start up?

You might be able to get past that by editing a configuration file to identify your country. I'm not sure if that will be a locale file or networking file though.

You can try a google search of that line to see what you come up with.

You must unlearn what you have learned.
