[SOLVED]: new keybind openbox rc.xml problem
I want a new keybind for vim. So this is the code that I used:

</keybind>Restarted openbox and pressed Windows+v. Nothing happens. Restarted the computer. Nothing happens.
Then I did
whereis vim
vim: /usr/bin/vim /usr/bin/vim.tiny /usr/bin/vim.basic /usr/bin/vim.gtk /etc/vim /usr/share/vim /usr/share/man/man1/vim.1.gzAnd now I am lost. If I use Alt+F2 and type vim, I will go directly to vim. When I make a keybind in openbox, it doesn't work. What to do?

Where in rc.xml did you place this stanza?
Keybinds need to be in a specific location.

When using Alt-F3, and typing vim, vim appears in the list next to vimtutor, vimbasic etc. But pressing on one of them doesn't give any result. Weird.

Could it have something to do with the sequence of $PATH?

It might be that it has to be run like:
<command>xterm -e vim</command>or
<command>x-terminal-emulator -x vim</command>instead of
<command>vim</command>Vim is a terminal app, after all ... EDIT: Or maybe it isn't. The point is that above works with e.g. 'vi'.
