MOD EDIT: Split from "Themes and Icons"
-----------------
Hi, I now have the NouveGnomeGray Theme installed, which is mainly in gray ... that matches the entire desktop! Sector11 it has recommended to me, thank you
The link: http://tsujan.deviantart.com/art/nouveG … -300365158
But I have a question about the Icons-Themes:
It can not always be taken over all the icons from the system. I have, for example, a few programs like Gimp, xfburn if they appear in the tint2-task as of their an old icon. I have the icon themes installed as root, so for the whole system.
The question would be, in what file I have to change something so that these icons are supported by the new theme?

If the theme does not have icons for those particular apps, it "inherits" them from other themes (look in `/usr/share/icons/<theme name>/index.theme` to see the themes it might be getting them from).
You will need to add new icons for the various sizes needed (or symlinks). If all you want is the same icons, but grayscale, just copy them from another theme and desaturate them.

Hi damo,
So I've seen me what you wrote. I also spare icons copied to the new issue, nevertheless no change.
But there is probably still another problem. The xfburn e.g. always has the same icon in the task (see picture) no matter what icon theme I use!

Several things:
Does NuoveGnomeGrey inherit the hicolor theme (look at the start of index.theme)? It should do I think.
xfburn icons are in /usr/share/icons/hicolor, so if they aren't in your theme they will be taken from there.
After any theme changes you must refresh the icon cache. The easiest way to do this is open lxappearance (Menu -> Appearance -> Icons) and reapply your icon theme.
Applications which are already running may not use a new icon until they are restarted.

I found nothing about it!

that's just right for some. xfburn has there icons, yes. But the icon on my screen for xfburn in the taskbar is not there yet.

I have done everything, nothing has changed. Sorry!

From the deviantArt download page:
nouveGnomeGray depends on the GNOME icon theme, which is provided by the package gnome-icon-theme in Debian-based systems.
Is that package installed?
The gnome icon theme doesn't have anything for xfburn, AFAICS. so let's try to set the nuove theme to inherit from hicolor. Edit `/usr/share/icons/nuoveGnomeGray/index.theme` so the Inherits line looks like
Inherits=gnome,hicolor
Remove any xfburn icons you added to nuove, in case they are messing things up.
Then refresh the icon theme in lxappearance.

So, this icon on the screen is a stopgap. That is probably because the program can not find a suitable icon at the start which is incorporated herein. I have now also the start of OB menu editor (see picture).
So xfburn finds not its actual icons that are in the system.
Then there is an error in the link !!!
As we search for and try, the problem lies elsewhere long. Xfburn looking in the wrong place!

The xfburn icon appears OK with the icon themes installed with BL, so it must be looking in the right locations. Have you tried using a default theme, and logging out/in?

I haven't seen that - see my previous post ^. I think you must have changed something.

That often works, in some mysterious way! Glad it is fixed

As I recall, this is necessary to get icons to show properly in tint2 after changing icon themes.

Hi pvsage,
in this case, not! it seems as if this is a false connection was made. no matter what icon theme is used xfburn always takes only the spare, never the right. only after a new installation, it accesses the correct icons. must be an error in the ISO of Bunsen Labs well.

Well, if you use the default Bunsen icon themes it works fine. I also tried with a couple of downloaded themes on a fresh installation (Paper and Papirus), and they both work as well.
However, GNOME and Adwaita don't display the xfburn icon. xfburn seems to want to use `media-cdrom` in its .desktop file, and the xfburn icons in our themes symlink to `brasero.png`.
We need to do some investigating.........
