Unexpected shutdown after computer suspend

When I close the cover, the system suspend as expected but: when I reopen the cover and after the login, the system shutdown immediatly.

I can't understand why, because it doesn't always happen.

Any idea/help?

Re: Unexpected shutdown after computer suspend

Hello & welcome to the forums smile

I think we will have to check the systemd journal and see what we can see.

You will have to add your user to the "systemd-journal" group:

sudo gpasswd -a USER systemd-journal
newgrp systemd-journal

Replace USER with your actual username.

Then you can look at the logs from the last boot (ie, the boot before the current session) by using:

jounalctl -x -b -1

If they are too big to post here, use http://paste.debian.net/ and post the URL instead.

Re: Unexpected shutdown after computer suspend

Thanks for your fast replay: sorry for my delay.

I've followed your instructions, and at the time, the problem was no longer occurred.

Except: and that, until now has happened only once after the login, the system asks me to enter the password to authorize a system shutdown.

I can't quite tell by your response, are you still getting the same issue or is it intermittent? Are you running B.L in a VM or on the hardware itself?

Re: Unexpected shutdown after computer suspend

No it's not a VM, I'm running BL on the hardware.

It's not the same issue: the first is a sudden shutdown after the login, the second is a modal windows that ask me the password to authorize the shutdown.

Re: Unexpected shutdown after computer suspend

I don't understand.

Please explain the *exact* problem that you are having.

If you have more than one problem, list them clearly.

Re: Unexpected shutdown after computer suspend

I know they are weird issues because googling I have not found similar or something similar to my issues.

I'll keep you updated with more detail for each issue.

Thanks for the advice and support!
