Hibernate almost works but no tray on resume.

Bunsen hibernates my netbook without locking it up like Ubuntu does. Nice work.

The only issue is that when I enter my password, the only thing that is not correct is the tray. Only the time shows up there, nothing else like the battery indicator, the wifi widget and the sound widget are not in the tray. I tried restarting openbox, and tint 2, but the only way to get the widgets/icons back into the tray is by loging out and in again. Is there a command I can run from the run dialog to restarting the tray?

Everything works fine with "suspend," this just happens with hibernate.

I don't think this is machine specific but it is an eeepc 1015pe with the atom n450 with the integrated video driver that uses the i915 driver.

You already said the "tray" was running (I presume you mean the Tint2 systray). You need to find out if the applications that aren't displaying their icons are running or not (xfce4-power-manager, volti and nm-applet).

Perhaps since I don't see "pm-utils," in the packages and there is no /etc/pm/ directory, those processes are terminated on hibernate. I am going to fiddle around with installing some packages like eeepc-acpi-scripts which wants to install pm-utils and the like to see if that does a better job in stopping and restarting running applications.

Brialliant, just tried it and it works perfectly! So users might want to install pm-utils if they need the funtionality, or the eeepc-acpi-scripts if they have an Asus eeepc, which will install that package along with other useful tools.
