Power saving on notebooks. Hardware video acceleration

Could you please share what is the best light software combination of powersavvy web browser, videoplayer and other software for Bunsenlabs?

Currently I am using TLP and Opera (with Turbo enabled) on Thinkpad x220 with Intel HD3000 GPU. Is it possible to use GPU to save a substantial amount of power when on battery?

No.

Hardware acceleration in web browsers is a myth.

Try youtube-dl instead.

EDIT: Wait, I'm wrong yikes

See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 4#p1586644 & https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic.php?id=954

EDIT2: You could try libgstreamer-vaapi but I'm not sure.

I think @nobody knows about this stuff anyway.
