Is that a conky across the top?
Beardog Linux, hosted by SoxDog
(Debian 13 - X11)
Still a Conky 1.9er at heart.

Yes. The single line conky I've been using since forever. Set:
own_window_type = 'panel',and the conky panel will reside in the fluxbox slit (dock) and maximized windows will not cover it.

@hhh, very neat
Upcoming floating mode with quickshell dock? (now in 4.5 RC1) And vibe coding quickshell plugin thingy for my old radioClicky script. Also managed to setup 'fingerscan sudo' stuff...
Even neater.
@PackRat, way to keep Fluxbox alive. I forget who, but there was a forum member who was all about it back in the day.
I've switched from nautilus to nemo on my sid/niri/noctalia setup, nautilus took a second to open without some more GNOME stuff added, far too long!
This shows xray blur off with two floating windows, with xray on you'd see the wallpaper blurred instead of the window below. It's not noticeably slower this way, but it does show a performance hit when you open or move a window, the background takes a split second for the blur to focus (nice sentence!)![]()
I also added an output plugin and a screen mirror one and made keybinds for them. This is Niri Displays, here I've turned off the TV output for scrot simplicity, much better than disconnecting the HDMI cable and wearing out the port.
Two image hosts, any preference? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Why why why why?!!???

My own fork/mod of Strata, making it an orthodox dual-pane file manager.

I like Strata. I'm using it as my default.

Interesting file manager. I'll have to tinker with it some more.

It's very good, it didn't take long to adapt to after decades of Thunar use. ![]()

^ Media previews are excellent out of the box, there is switch in config that enabled instant play of videos as well, it does little audio waveforms, etc. It previews avif image files without me doing anything. Love it.

You guys just ran the downloaded strata install script?
Maybe I'll wait until there's a .deb.

Mine is installed via aur. It should however compile on Debian Trixie (I haven't tried), to avoid install script that might or might not install bins. Note: Rust compiles can take a boring amount of time.
ai:
• glibc Requirement (2.39+): Trixie includes glibc 2.41, satisfying the requirement.
• GTK Requirement (4.12+): Trixie comes with a much newer version of GTK 4 (as it packages GNOME 48 as its default desktop environment).Offline

That's all I did. After you choose to install, it displays a list of deps for your distro:
Strata needs GTK 4.12+, GtkSourceView 5, Poppler GLib, Fontconfig, Bubblewrap,
FFmpeg, ffmpegthumbnailer, GStreamer plugins, and the GVfs UDisks2 volume monitor.
For the volume monitor, install gvfs-daemons on Debian/Ubuntu or gvfs on Fedora.
Have you installed the equivalent packages for this distribution? [Y/n]I had to install GtkSourceView 5. After that, it installed properly.
