I mean, it looks kinda good with dark themes

I think flame speed must be somehow synced with wipe speed (not there yet).

edit: flame colors can now loosely follow theme colors

Re: 2026 Screenshot Thread

Ok, that's awesome.

-edit- I wiped by install and redid it with no shortcuts, The Debian Way...

  • trixie netinstall.iso to the laptop that has only WiFi, no Ethernet port.

  • Bring the network up with ifupdown and wpasupplicant

  • Change sources to sid, upgrade/full-upgrade to sid and apt modernize-sources

  • Build xwayland-satellite and niri deb packages from source

  • Start niri, install firefox, and use it to follow the instructions for adding the Noctalia repo

  • Add the line to ~/.config/niri/config.kdl that starts noctalia and install noctalia, noctalia-greeter and pkexec

  • adduser and change permissions for greetd

  • Install network-manager and comment out the primary interface in /etc/network/interfaces

  • Install xdg-desktop-portal-gnome, nautilus-admin and gedit all without recommended packages so GNOME doesn't get installed

  • Reboot

  • Connect to the network via noctalia-shell and install more packages

  • Install more packages, then tweak, then more packages and tweak some more, etc...

Re: 2026 Screenshot Thread

@Döbbie03, so what's the deal? Did you ditch the Nvidia or just swap it out again? Looking good, my friend!

-edit- Oh, and postimg is loading fine again for me here in the U.S.

Thanks! Still using my RX 5700. I haven't used nvidia for a few years now.
