Installing Carbon from USB and struggling with the partition section

I'm installing Carbon from USB and struggling with the partition section.

Because it's text (I'm used to a graphic partition section in the install for other distros) I'm  unsure how to proceed. I was able to set everything, but then it asked for a swap file. How do I go about making one via the installer?

I used Crunchbang back in the day, and when it was discontinued I switched to Linux Mint. I've just discovered that BunsenLabs exists and am excited to get back an Openbox system. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

Don't use the installer, it's less confusing (if you're not familiar withe Debian Installer) to use gparted running BL from a usb, boot the first grub entry "LIVE..."

It will autolog you into the desktop, open 'gparted' (from the main menu or dmenu or a terminal) and use the GUI to create your 2 partitions, an EXT4 of the size you want for the OS and a 1G or more emoty partition for swap (or jsut create 2 empty partitions of those sizes). Reboot to the Installer.

When you get to the partitioning options, choose "Manual" instead of the "Guided" options, find the large partition>Use as..>Use as... Ext4, put the whole OS under /, check or unchceck the 'format this partition' option (check it to be safe)>Finish, then choose the swap space>Use as... swap>Finish>Save changes and Done, verify, continue yo install the base system.
