Suspend functionality different in Carbon?

I've been driving in Carbon for a few weeks.

One of the behaviours that's different in Carbon from Boron seems to be 'Suspend,' which before used to only wake up by pressing the power button. Now the wake up can occur with any keypress on the keyboard.

(It also might not be 'suspending' as deeply, as my battery drained much faster than expected during a suspension.)

Is this a known difference between the two? If I'm looking for that deeper option, should I be trying to hibernate instead?

This is not a known issue.
I suspended yesterday and woke up by pressing the power button. Unfortunately I didn't check if any other key would work - I'll try this later today and report back.

I did notice that the power lamp was blinking in suspend state as it usually does.

EDIT: I just tried suspending this machine (desktop not laptop) and the only way to come back was to press the power button. It sounds as if you were not entering suspend - maybe some obscure hardware issue?

You might try the various ways of suspending and check if they all leave you in that strange paused state.
ie suspend in the menu, or various terminal commands like 'bl-exit -s', 'systemctl suspend'
Any error messages?

So far, I've only tried the suspend in the menu. (That's the bl-exit menu, right? 'Logout, Lock Screen, Suspend, Reboot, Power Off")

Will report back ASAP with those tests!

Interesting.  After buying a few keyboard that all did an 86 after a year or so I'm back to using my vintage 2002 Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro, Latam layout.  They don't make "latam" layouts anymore.  It's either Spanish or Protuguese not both like this one.  Anyway I'm drifting.

It has a (Suspender) button on it that works great and the "I can't find the" [AnyKey] key works to wake up my desktop.
