@damo, gako, thanks, offtopic: What I found interesting is that one can do stuff like that on most saturated days (evenings), like when you don't have time to breath (Not that I'am particulary happy with the results).

Nice work bronto. Having been in commercial art for awhile, I can honestly say my best work happens when I am under heavy deadline pressure. I believe it is because I don't think about it as much. I just rely on instinct to come up with something I believe the customer will like.

@damo great wallpapa'! I like this version the most because of the colors and the bl logo fits like a charm.
@bronto I'd like to get my hands on blender every time I see your work. Very nice wallpapers. Not sure about the black color if the arch logo.

the blue one is great!! Nothing is stopping me. It's just that I want to improve my skills with inskape and gimp before I start with blender

I found both Inkscape and Blender have very steep learning curves. In fact I first started with Blender because I was finding it too time-consuming to get 3D effects with Inkscape. Now I often make image layers with Blender and import, convert and tweak with Inkscape or GIMP 8o

I work in IT. I totally understand where you're coming from on that as that is also when I do some of my best work.

^That red bike
It's Kaneda's bike, isn't it?

^, ^^, ^^^ - Yeah, noticed the girl. Cute. (Did anyone not notice the girl?)
From the artwork, hard to tell what the trail is. With such an extreme rake, an inch or two could mean the difference between "a bear on curves" and "jackknife city"; if the trail is just right, the drift suggested in the pic could be possible. (My current commuter has a really short rake and trail - almost too nimble. Can't take my hands off the bars for a second.)
EDIT: @Head_on_a_Stick: If it is based on the bike from Akira, the fork's been extended, the head angle flattened out, and it also has like a wheelbarrow tire up front.
