^The Debian xfce metapackage?
I'm not sure what the end result of installing that on Carbon would be. When you log in, does the lightdm login screen offer both xfce4 and BunsenLabs sessions? Do both of them work?

I'm not sure of the state of Xfce wayland/lightdm on trixie, forky is where it comes together.
I found this...
https://bugs-devel.debian.org/cgi-bin/b … ug=1106079
So try dropping to a TTY, login and run "startxfce4 --wayland"? If that doesn't work, install labwc and see if that fixes lightdm?
Why why why why?!!???

yes, both of them work, i get a xfce4 session and a openboxsession.
And a "BunsenLabs session"? That should be there too.
The "openbox session" entry is installed by openbox itself.

Bunsenlabs
Default Xsession
Openbox
Xfce Session
Xfce Session(Wayland)
in that order

Window effects in TileOS-niri by "pushing the mouse in the top left corner"

Minimal GNOME 50 on forky in a VM. netinstall ISO, don't install a desktop, reboot and install gdm3 --no-install-recommends, then install a terminal and a browser and pkexec (and I think network-manager if your actually installing it), reboot again and you have enough of a Wayland session to get started...
The panel is the "Dash to Panel" GNOME extension, I do hate that the default panel is useless due to no taskbar. Wallpaper: https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/2DF … 7QakSz.jpg
-edit- Added two more extensions, Workspace Indicator (shows workspaces in the panel) and Focus (inactive window transparency)...
Some slim RAM usage for a GNOME desktop.

@loutch, Hello Loutch. I'm not big on desktop widgets (I like a clock and that's about it), but those are some pretty widgets. Plasma, I assume? What is "min Num B1"? What is that crazy mini side-panel launcher/media controller thing on the left?
@darknet, that panel looks great. Do tell, panel, WM, OS, icons, music player and panel widget?
Why why why why?!!???

Hello
@ hhh
ubuntu xfce & conkys
It's a Conky
“min” for lowercase, “MAJ” for uppercase
“Num” for the number pad
“B1” for the desktop number (I have 4 desktops)

@loutch, that's some serious conky-fu, @Sector11 would be proud.
@darknet, interesting! Panel and icons, music player and widget?
Two xfce4 scrots in a row, nice.
Why why why why?!!???
