Willkommen unklar. smile

Es ist ja egal hier, ob man Englisch gut oder schlecht spricht. Im Laufe der Zeit vergisst man sowie so die eigene Sprache...in meinem Fall Englisch, da ich schon ein wenig verkalkt bin.  sad

Translation: Welcome unklar. It doesn't matter here whether one speaks English well or badly. Over time, one forgets one's own language...in my case, English, since I'm already a little senile.  sad

HEY g33zr - couldn't have said it better myself.

Isn't senile an old age language? Like piglatin for kids?

Holding a coffee cup upside down while frowning means the same anywhere.  smile

All I hear at home is: "The kitchen is that way!"  I don't get no respect!  sad

Thanks guys for the friendly welcome!

I had already written in Mageia Forum: (In connection with Conky) Whichever distribution of users is, in Bunsenlab forum he will not be rejected!
This is certainly a credit to the "Jungen Wilden" {) big_smile big_smile

Ich bin wirklich unklar... blush.gif

Ernsthaft,

Re: The Over-the-Hill-BunsenGang Thread

^LOL. For those who don't read German, I asked unklar why he uses the name unklar, which means "unclear" in English.

He responded that he's really unclear and went on to describe how in 2009 once again became fed up with Windows and decided to remove the OS from his PC. He found a copy of Linux-User, with a couple of live CDs, at a newstand. He liked Mandriva best and...

Everything, really everything, was unclear for him. When he signed up for German Mandriva forum, he needed a user/nickname and he picked unklar. That's how it happened.

He thinks my nickname also "needs getting used to."  ]:D

What?!  yikes  roll

@g33zr - so it's clear the unklar is not clear.  Maybe we should nickname him: Undurchsichtig ]:D

So is that: Corn, Olive or Sunflower?

EDIT:  I can see it now: Ye Ole Oil Can

Re: The Over-the-Hill-BunsenGang Thread

@Sector11 - Well, I don't actually use liquid oil. On alternating days, I use shea "body butter" and a lotion based on hemp oil (which I'm sure doesn't contain THC, because I just get it at regular stores).

I really like the hemp-based lotion. I had a lesion on my wrist from removing a "pre-cancerous" spot. The lesion had persisted for months. After I started using this lotion, the lesion almost completely disappeared in a couple of months. Maybe that would have happened anyway, but I don't think so.

Getting old is a PITA.

Re: The Over-the-Hill-BunsenGang Thread

@ ratcheer  :8  I am so sorry. :8   I thought it was a joke.

We can't get that here, but I'm sure there are equivalents.

My wife has me using this: Bagovit A Classic
Not so bad, doesn't smell perfumery like the other creams she uses.  I've always had a "general purpose" hand cream in the bathroom as my skin has a tendency to be really dry and cream seemed to stop the 'hangnail' problem that I use to pick at an bleed for weeks.

Hypoallergenic. A rich and creamy, highly nourishing texture that acts in depth, allowing natural cell regeneration.

The nutritional properties of Vitamin A makes it ideal for use in prone to stretch marks as pregnancy and adolescence periods.

It helps to improve the appearance of damaged skin, such scars after healing of burns and sore nipples.

Recommendations for use: Apply daily as many times as necessary to the desired area, with gentle massage to facilitate penetration and absorption.

I've told her there is no fear of me getting pregnant and to forget adolescence periods!  roll

What's the world coming to!

Getting old may be a PITA but it's better than the other option.  smile

No problem at all.

But, see, we both have the same problem (very dry skin). I have been this way most of my life (a dermatologist once told me, "You have the driest skin I have ever seen."), but it has only been the last few years that it has given me so much trouble with my feet. Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night and have to re-apply lotion.

Re: The Over-the-Hill-BunsenGang Thread

OUCH!  I'm not that bad.  Mind you I've noticed that I'm using the B-A cream more than I use to.  Must be a subconscious thing.  The creams I use to use were just some cheap general purpose hand cream, this is much better.

Re: The Over-the-Hill-BunsenGang Thread

I hope you guys don't mind a relatively young buck chiming in here, but I've had similarly troublesome skin since childhood and have been oiling my "joint" (and just about everything else) since I was a teen; fortunately, I chanced across a dermatologist who had experience treating ichthyosis vulgaris.

The purple pill?! That would turn me into a paranoid schizophrenic, trapped in and out of the matrix. No, it's got to be one or the other. Today is a red-pill day....  ]:D
