Laptop Keyboard Handling In Linux (Not Good)

Turns out getting a new laptop was not the solution to the quirks I kept experiencing on the old one.  Implying it's an issue within Linux.  Of course it could be a problem with the flatness of laptop keyboards leading to more misstrokes, but I can't say for sure.
