My Touchpad Is Too Sensitive

I now have a working touchpad on my new to me Dell Latitude 5401.  The problem is that it (the touchpad) is so sensitive that just brushing it a mite too hard activates things I con't want activated (like URLS I don't want to visit right now).  Does anyone know how to disable touchpad click so I can use it just to move the pointer and use the touchpad buttons for left, middle and right click.

Alternatively, making click to do a more beefy action that just breathing on the touchpad would also help.

You can change the settings manually - https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Libinput

Check the BL menu; I don't recall a mouse/touchpad setup being there, but there may be something.

I have a similar issue, but I just disable the touchpad and use a mouse.

ust select openbox or bunsenlabs at the top right when logging into the system. Not labwc, which would be wayland.

I don't have labwc as an option.  At least it's not in the session options.

My previous Logitech wireless usb mouse doesn't seem to work with this machine.  I'll get a wired USB mouse tomorrow

libinput works with X11 and Wayland.

As I recall BL is now using libinput. If you are still using synaptics, follow the "Touchpad Synaptics" link on that libinput page.
