Now this is a fun read;

As I said when I first came here, I'm pro-choice in operating systems not anti Windows; I want people to be able to make an informed choice concerning the operating system and application software they run on their computers. Nevertheless, having read this I have to ask; why isn't Windows 11 better considering the vast resources Redmond has at its disposal?

WOW! Brought back my Win2K Update nightmares counting the reboots and spending more time "maintaining Windows" than using it - OK OK, I exaggerate, but at times it really felt that way.
Remember "defragging" the drive? - movie time!
They don't care! They are making billions. If enough of their user base said screw you and went to (insert an OS here), Redmond would do something because it's "costing them money".
Windows comes pre-installed on 96% of the computers, it's easy to plug it in and used it. And they've all fallen for the BS that Linux isn't desktop ready yet.
Remember these companies set quarterly goals!
- example: "$100M this quarter", if their profit is only $75M that quarter they classify it as a $25m loss!
I wish I could lose $25m that way 4 times a year!
Debian 12 Beardog, SoxDog and still a Conky 1.9er

Oh man, I remember, and constant forays to turn services off, visits to the registry etc. By the time I learned enough and fought for years with it before finally getting XP pro to a state of useability, it was already obsoleted...I took one look at Vista...ONE....and then I switched to Linux for good.
