Carbon won't boot to GUI

I am trying to run a live version of Carbon on my SAMSUNG Netbook (Atom N450) on which Boron is installed (which runs nicely). Whichever option I pick from the Grub boot menu, however, I will end up with a blinking cursor. I can open a command line via Ctrl-Alt-F2 though.

After performing some basic research, I added "nomodeset" to the command line starting with "linux" and had the system reboot, but this didn’t change anything.

Xorg.0.log tells me that it is "using a default monitor configuration". The OS subsequently seems to identify all the video modes supported by the display, but tells me eventually, "glamor requires at least 128 instructions (64 reported)".

What can I do? As you may have noticed by now, my Linux knowledge is no more than basic.

Re: Carbon won't boot to GUI

Have you tired recreating your live usb? Also, you might want to use a USB 2.0 port if you have one. I was using a USB 3.0 port one time and was having the same issue you were having. Tried a different port (2.0 version) and it worked for me.
