Thanks for replying John. For me, it was because it was the anniversary of his death yesterday and there's been a lot on social media about it. That track segues into the rest of the album, track by track (and a great album it is too of course).
Hope this isn't in bad taste, but when I was young and I did something that mildly annoyed my Dad, he was wont to say; "I'll shoot you!" Well, tragically as we know Marvin's father really did shoot him.
