I don't know if this is a me problem or a you problem, but it's annoying and I don't know why it keeps happening.

Just random freezes?
What graphics card?
You must unlearn what you have learned.

What programs are you running when it freezes (crashes)?
I haven't had any issues with the stock install, but to be honest I haven't done much testing. No crash problems for me with the dev releases before, either.
Posting "I get freezes, not sure how random" doesn't tell anyone anything other than you get freezes (and with only that info, it's a you problem).
Integrated Intel graphics should be rock solid (though there are Linux posts about mesa issues) so I'm guessing it's not that, but it could be anything. Did you use a torrent download? If not, did you run sha256sum? Did you cp/dd the ISO to USB or did you use a GUI? Is it freezing just at idle?
There is this note on the Arch Wiki Intel page (sec. 1) about mesa...
There have been a couple of reports [4] [5] where the whole graphics stack hard freezes when xf86-video-intel is installed, not even switching to a different virtual console works (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Fn), only killing the user processes with SysRq works.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

I was watching a video on Youube in a tab when it happened It was the only other tab open apart from m home page
I hadn't heard about this mesa issue. Didn't have it in Boron (or my previous Ubuntu installs).
I don't seem to have the xf86-video-intel driver installed
