I started messing around with linux around a couple years ago after windows 11 really wasn't fun to use, I liked messing around with the techy side of things, I had it debloated, all my custom stuff, and was still getting horrible performance just to get support for modern apps, there were so many things that were annoying but were also essential parts of the system or required to get support. Then I thought to myself, why not try linux? So after a headache trying to get debian gnome to work, I realized this was what i was missing out on. But, gnome still bothered me, the desktop management wasnt great and resource usage was also kind of high, so i spent months trying to find a distro that had low resource usage while still providing a nice experience. Eventually I found my way to bunsenlabs and never looked back, after a year and a half of daily driving bunsenlabs i can definitively say it is the best distro out there in terms of customization and ease of use while still being packed with feature and resource efficient, hats off to bunsenlabs devs and the community around it.

Welcome @That1LoserGuy41 !
Just today I ran into this diatribe about Windows 11 - by a long-time Linux user, so it's not very complimentary:

Hey, That1LoserGuy41 - welcome!
Like you, I also was turned off by 11 - still have to use it for work, unfortunately - constantly disappointed.
But also like you, I discovered Bunsenlabs and the great folks here, and haven't looked back.
Absolutely brilliant to see you here, sir. I truly hope you feel as welcomed as I have been, and look forward to seeing your posts!
