I am in the process of trying to install BL boron on a recently acquired Dell Inspiron 660s.
I have reached the "Configure the package manager" point on the install process and
the process fails with:
"An error has been detected while trying to use the specified Debian archive mirror.
Possible reasons are ..." [note: it gave reasons, but I'm excluding them here]
I have retried 2 additional times and got the same error.
If I step back in the install process, it brings up a page (which I had not seen before during the install process), that says:
[start quote]
"Please enter the hostname of the mirror from which Debian will be downloaded.
An alternate port can be specified using the standard [hostname]:[port] format.
Debian archive mirror hostname:
deb.debian.org
Please enter the directory in which the mirror of the Debian archive is located.
Debian archive mirror directory
/debian
"
[end quote]
My understanding is that the script will automatically setup a mirror if none is specified. I am at a loss as to why the install script is failing. Any suggestions will be much appreciated!!
