Re: BunsenLabs film thread

I thought I felt a brief puff of warm air followed by the odour of fermented or digested elderberry.

Hey, each to their own.  LOTR holds a special place for me, I take it as it is.

Haley Joel Osment should have been Sam.

Hey! You gotta stop making blasphemy a habit mate.  Comments like that are well out of step.

Sorry, I just watched Second Hand Lions and I can see it. Squeaky voice and all.

Nah, was a crack up.  I'm not bothered.

It's not about Sean Astin, he plays Samwise incredibly well.  Say what you will, I am always happy with Sean's Samwise.

This gets my vote. Sam is who Sam is, wish I had a friend like him.

Re: BunsenLabs film thread

This taunting is rather brutal, the accent does nothing to soften the blow.

Re: BunsenLabs film thread

^ I am French-ah!

All of the Star Trek films are free on Pluto this month (with ads, a ton of them). Starting at the beginning, The Motion Picture.

Wait, what's filming V-ger destroying everything when they're all watching the Jumbotron? Shut up, hhh.

Re: BunsenLabs film thread

Well, I am disappointed that nobody has commented. The most boring, boringest SciFi film since 2001, it makes Blade Runner look like an action film. McCoy in a disco suit (appropriate, I thought, what with the Bee Gees discussion in another thread). My favorite quote from a review of the film when it came out, "Shatner has perhaps the least impressive movie physique since Rod Steiger." Bones has literally nothing to do but bitch and stand around, while Spock does everything. Checkov has the best line in the film... "Pho.. ton... torpe...does......... Away!"

Up next, Wrath of Khan, where we finally determine if Ricardo is wearing prosthetics for his chest.

Star Trek (original) movies II and IV are really good and the best of all of them... IMO... Kind of like the Led Zeppelin albums, oddly enough... big_smile

Re: BunsenLabs film thread

Voyage home has Katherine Hicks, Motion Picture has child molester Stephen Collins, both starred in Seventh Heaven.

I don't know what that means.
