Yep, only because it was the easy option to get started.  I'll look at a Xorg/dwm setup a bit later on when I am a bit more familiar with Alpine.

It's really good; but for Alpine you'll have to upgrade to edge and tag the testing repo (easy to do, it's in the Alpine wiki) otherwise it's a lot of compile from source.
