I'm using a freshly downloaded copied of BL.
For some reason my icon for volti (I guess that's what it is) is not showing in the Tint2 panel.
I had it working on my old Thinkpad T410 (which I will be selling) and would like to get it working on my Prescision M4400.
I haven't done anything special to the system, just the base setup, install my conky's and a few apps.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Solved.
Doing the apt-upgrades as listed a few posts down and re-running the welcome script did the trick.
Thanks, so much!

Have you tried any of the fixes in the many posts about tint2 icons?
Volti is an audio application. Do you mean sound or power icon problems?
Do you still have fdpowermon installed? The bl-welcome script offers to replace it - try running it again.

I did a half ass search for the Tint2 icon issue, didn't really find anything.
Yes, volti is audio - my bad.
I honestly don't know if I have fdpowermon still installed. How can I check that? How would I run the welcome script again? I thought it was a one time thing.
Thanks.

There is a fix posted for the fdpowermon icon (search the forums for `fdpowermon`)
The firstrun scripts were upgraded to test for laptop, and change fdpowermon for xfce-power-manager. The script can be run any time with the command `bl-welcome`, but do a dist-upgrade first:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && bl-welcome
There are many ways to see if something is installed eg:
which whatever
apropos whatever
locate whatever
apt-cache search whatever
etc
