Try adding this to picom.conf, maybe just under the section that sets 0.96 opacity for unfocused windows:
}, { match = "class_g *?= 'screensaver'"; opacity = 1.0; }, {It seems to fix the issue for me.
(The screenlocker window is xfce4-screensaver, not LightdM.)
Alternative which targets all fullscreen windows:
}, {
match = "fullscreen";
opacity = 1.0;
corner-radius = 0;
round-borders = 0;
shadow = false;
}, {Seems to work too.

After "commenting" the previous solution and restarting picom, it works for me as well.

Nice. Looking forward to the next ISO, it's close.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

I was testing Carbon, and while XFCE4 panel profiles are installed, there isn't a set profile for the default setup; is this something you plan on implementing? Sorry if that has already been brought up.
Related to this, I often use xfce4-docklike-plugin (which is easily installable via apt) for my taskbar, as I prefer to not have a separate button for shortcuts and running apps, is this package in consideration for being used instead of the regular XFCE window buttons in the default config?
Otherwise, everything seems to work as intended.

Yes, in the new version of bunsen-configs the default setup's xfce4-panel profile will be installed, and should appear in the profiles dialog as "Carbon-vertical" (along with "Carbon-horizontal").

No, we've already settled on xfce4-panel and it's too late now to change the default for Carbon. Of course users can install xfce4-docklike-plugin and stop using xfce4-panel if they prefer.

xfce4-docklike-plugin is a plugin for the xfce4-panel. All you do is just remove the regular window buttons from your panel config, and put in the docklike plugin into your XFCE4 panel. In simpler terms, docklike doesn't replace the panel, it is added to the panel.
Here it is in my regular Debian setup.![]()

^Thank you for clarifying that. The Debian package page's description makes it look like a separate utility:
Modern, minimalist taskbar for Xfce
And if you look down the page there is no dependency on xfce4-panel.
Anyway, we are now very close to uploading a Carbon Release Candidate, so while this looks like an interesting alternative to the default xfce4-panel configs I think it's too late to make xfce4-docklike-plugin the default.

^Post Carbon release, a HOW-TO thread detailing the xfce4-docklike-plugin configuration options would be nice to have, so people could easily change.

Perhaps for Nitrogen, make xfce4-docklike-plugin an alternative to the xfce4-panel?

^Sure, let's have a good look at it before Nitrogen.
