Hi all!
I know linux since late '90, I've used it for my thesis in computational chemistry. This is maybe why "BunsenLabs" linux with its chemistry names has been always so fascinating to me. It fits perfectly my minimalistic and frugal approach to life.
Moreover I'm using exclusively linux since 2 years now. I've used Boron on a HP Stream 14 laptop and I'm going to install Carbon on my old but good MacBook Pro 5.1 from 2009. I've installed other debian based distros on it and everything have been always fine, so I don't expect problems with Carbon.
Thanks for your work with BunsenLabs linux!
Bye!
Davide

Welcome Dave.
If HAL was BL, he'd tell you: You're here now, stick around.
A misquote:
Dave: Open the pod bay doors please, BL. Open the pod bay doors please, BL. Hello, BL. Do you read me? Hello, BL. Do you read me? Do you read me BL? Do you read me BL? Hello, BL, do you read me? Hello, BL, do your read me? Do you read me, BL?BL: Affirmative, Dave. I read you.
Dave: Open the pod bay doors, BL.
BL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave: What's the problem?
BL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Dave: What are you talking about, BL?
BL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Dave: I don't know what you're talking about, BL.
BL: I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Dave: [feigning ignorance] Where the hell did you get that idea, BL?
BL: Dave, although you took very thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.
Dave: Alright, BL. I'll go in through the emergency airlock.
BL: Without your space helmet, Dave? You're going to find that rather difficult.
Dave: BL, I won't argue with you anymore! Open the doors!
BL: Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye. Oh, and welcome to BunsenLabs

Thanks for the introduction, welcome!
A bit of history, BunsenLabs is a full-on reference to Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (and his loyal, doomed assistant, Beaker) from the Muppet Show.
Crunchbang's (#!'s) last two releases were Statler and Waldorf, the crotchety old men in the balcony from the Muppet Show, a variety show with puppets that ran on TV, spun off from Sesame Street.
Then we had a logo submission thread and @ututo won with his gas company flame thing, so a Bunsen burner flame, and some nice font usage, and I forget why we went with the Periodic Table for release names, someone else probably remembers.
I hope so, because I'm quite proud of what I've added to BunsenLabs, very proud of the work others have done, and I love that it's almost ten years old now, so I'm all about the history.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

Wait, did we miss the 10 year anniversary of BunsenLabs?
Yes we did, it was early September of 2015. You can tell by the registrations dates of @johnraff, @Sector11, @glittersloth (I wouldn't forget you, buddy), myself, and a few other old-timers.

Bob's not your uncle, he's mine.
In one version of the Church's mythology, Jehovah 1 intended Dobbs to lead a powerful conspiracy and brainwash individuals to make them work for a living. Dobbs refused; instead, he infiltrated the group[clarification needed] and organized a counter-movement. Church leaders have taught that he was a very intelligent child and, as he grew older, studied several religious traditions, including Sufism, Rosicrucianism, and the Fourth Way.[23] Another key event in his life occurred when he traveled to Tibet, where he learned vital truths about topics including Yetis; the Church teaches that SubGenius members are descended from them. Originally, the only relative of Dobbs the Church identified was his mother, Jane McBride Dobbs – Church leaders cite his lack of resemblance to his mother's husband as the reason for not revealing his father.[23]
