You guys seem to have this well in hand, so treat this ¢2 as you see fit, but how about basing the new folders on what you already had as the generic folder icon in labbe, ie:
rather than the papirus icon with its paper sticking out of the top?
Strikes me as a bit cleaner.
Or is that a whole lot of extra work?
Sorry UK residents - this is still imgur. I'm hoping to have the image upload script switched to imgbb maybe today...

^I should be able to script something. I'll have a go tonight and tomorrow.
#!/bin/sh
echo '#include <stdio.h>\nvoid main() { printf("Hi, bunsenlabs\\n"); return; }' > bunsen.c
gcc bunsen.c -o bunsen
./bunsen

@johnraff and @hhh
These?
@hhh you can request others but only from the lists in my previous scrots on this thread. And not too many, as most will never be used. If you really must you can have your spirit animal.
#!/bin/sh
echo '#include <stdio.h>\nvoid main() { printf("Hi, bunsenlabs\\n"); return; }' > bunsen.c
gcc bunsen.c -o bunsen
./bunsen

Those are nice, the sage color ones are especially fetching.
But damn, when I click that link there's some woman bouncing her boobies at the bottom of that page...not that i'm complaining mind you...
Edit: so I clicked it again and the bouncing boobies disappeared. weird.

Hey, these are simply outstanding. I also really like the Sage color. Nice.

@mick0, you're doing just fine. Tweaks never end, but I think you've honed it in pretty well. Thanks for taking my input into consideration, the icons are looking really great.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

All pushed to Github and ready to go @johnraff. Built a test package and all. As well as all the new folder icons I cleaned up a lot of the others, removing the 'xml' header as it isn't needed so reduces bloat a fraction.
I'm sure many are looking forward to new labbe and suru packages at some point in the not too distant future to try them out.
BTW, I merged carbon into main at github. Also deleted my repo so ours is the main one and mine is the fork.
#!/bin/sh
echo '#include <stdio.h>\nvoid main() { printf("Hi, bunsenlabs\\n"); return; }' > bunsen.c

^Thanks
Here's a sage light theme, so it's coming together.

Yep I can tweak til the cows come home.. but they're not coming so this'll do
That's looking great! Perhaps just an artifact of the site or upload, but the bin and github folders look blurry compared to the others?
For me personally i'd tone down some of the stark white, especially in the main pane, maybe an off-white in the sage spectrum?
I'd also make the menubar and headerbar darker, not as dark as the titlebar, but in the same spectrum (sage-y) with a different color for each gradually going from very dark in the titlebar and getting lighter further down you go. But that's just me, and I know y'all are pressed for time and working your tails off and don't have time to play with colors right now.

^ Are you talking GTK tweaks? Because that is pretty much off the table. GNOME theming is FUBAR (it's a military term from the Vietnam conflict, look it up).

^yeah there's that!
The blurriness is my fault. Those are not standard xdg icons like those in the left column. They're created by a thumbnailer script and I should have put higher res folders in there. I have the script up at Github - https://github.com/01micko/folder-thumbnailer
#!/bin/sh
echo '#include <stdio.h>\nvoid main() { printf("Hi, bunsenlabs\\n"); return; }' > bunsen.c
gcc bunsen.c -o bunsen
./bunsen

Couple things:
1. In my 60's bro, I know about FUBAR, SNAFU, and a whole lot of other old acronyms the youngsters don't even know about. ![]()
2. You lost me with "Gnome theming", i'm well aware Gnome has gone off the rails but not sure how that figures in to the discussion as the screenshot was from a Thunar instance, not Nautilus or whatever Gnome uses these days? Could you elaborate?
But again, i'm not suggesting anyone do any 11th hour theme changes here for Carbon, was just thinking out loud and expressing a personal opinion about the styling in question, just some feedback from a sample size of one. Given my forum handle, the green theme intrigues me, at some point when you guys are finished with it and Carbon is declared stable, I wouldn't mind snagging a copy of that theme and experimenting with some mods to it if that's allright.
