@johnraff...

Upgraded dwl to 0.8.
Niri is one of the best wayland compositors, but it's a bit heavy.

@chroot, I hadn't noticed that about niri before. RAM/CPU usage is very low, that's more important than the bin size IMO.

I have been working on a cheatsheet script to remind me of keybindings of the regular apps I use. My small brain is so full of useless information, it seems to block any important information so I never seem to remember any of these.
The source file has to be manually completed.
A keybind brings up the initial menu, select either using the keyboard or searching.
Once selected, you are presented with the keybinds, fully searchable.
Not sure how often I will use this, but the fact it is at my fingertips makes life so much easier.

@Döbbie03 you just gave me an idea for jgmenu (and labwc menu) for Carbon. Put in a keybind cheatsheet in the menu instead of conky!
IDK if @johnraff will go for this idea but conky is kind of limited by the background you set, especially for smallish (say 10-12pt) fonts.
Small brain? P'raps genius!
#!/bin/sh
echo '#include <stdio.h>\nvoid main() { printf("Hi, bunsenlabs\\n"); return; }' > bunsen.c
gcc bunsen.c -o bunsen
./bunsen

^There is already a keybind section in the menu:
menu > User Settings > Keybinds
Check it out!

^Yes! The window one is the perfect cheat sheet!
So can the default conky in Carbon remove those and maybe have something simpler? Anyway completely OT, we should discuss in the dev threads.
#!/bin/sh
echo '#include <stdio.h>\nvoid main() { printf("Hi, bunsenlabs\\n"); return; }' > bunsen.c
gcc bunsen.c -o bunsen
./bunsen

^ Those are sweet, very corporate!
It's official, niri with xfce4-panel is going to replace GNOME as my daily driver. Migrate the binaries I built on my testing partition to the main one but keep gnome-session as a fallback. So freaking pretty, and animation speed set to 2 is very relaxing to watch.

Easier said than done, now neither session starts. Plan B, copy files from partition A to B, use a LIVE ISO to wipe partition A and expand B, cross fingers.

Deleting the files I transferred restored my GNOME session, I'll need to try again with fresh eyes tomorrow. Is it really 2:30 in the morning where I am? How did that happen?
