Hi people, today I was trying to install Tomahawk from source tarball as seen on their GitHub page (https://github.com/…/tomahawk/wiki/Debi … structions) and CMake encountered the following error: http://pastebin.com/0YpqGBLy.
I tried searching the log output at /home/martin/tomahawk/build/CMakeFiles/ --> http://pastebin.com/ikL5kqKP but still no clues.
I am not Linux-wise enough to see what this output means:
martin@BE-BOP:~/tomahawk/build$ cmake -DBUILD_WITH_QT4=ON ..
CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:14 (find_package):
Could not find a package configuration file provided by "ECM" (requested
version 1.7.0) with any of the following names:
ECMConfig.cmake
ecm-config.cmake
Add the installation prefix of "ECM" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set "ECM_DIR"
to a directory containing one of the above files. If "ECM" provides a
separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been installed.

What I've tried doing:
-updating and upgrading the system with apt-get
-...
-having a glass of wine and repeating the Debian Build Instructions (led to the same results).
Any directions you can point? Thank you in advance.

I remember messing with Tomahawk before and being frustrated. I recall a lot of supporting packages needing to be backported to make it work in jessie.
I'm not doing anything, let me see what I can see. I'll post back...
Why why why why?!!???

I'll try backporting it from here and see what happens...

Well, that created and installed the python-tomahawk packages, but not tomahawk player. The next step, if it were me, would be to try using this GitHub repo, but I don't think I'm going to mess with it right now.

What the hell am I saying? Old links are old.
OK, I'm going to try this, then I'm done for now...

Thanks for the quick reply... I'll be working for the next 10 hours, then I'll try this damn thing.

Aaw, crap. I remember now, this app is QT. You're on your own, I can't be bothered installing all the needed libraries.
Why why why why?!!???
