Once in a while the theming just snaps into place without effort, you see a wall and you know what icon set will match. I love when that happens.

@bronto, thanks! trixie has the current version of wayfire, as well as the rest of what I needed to make a desktop (wf-shell, mako, swaylock, wlogout, grim, light...)

wf-shell includes a great type-to-search menu that <super> toggles, as well as a panel and an audio volume indicator popup-up slider.

The desktop uses way less RAM than KDE and quite a bit less than GNOME, and it's got the old Compiz bling. It wasn't too hair-pulling to get decently set up, either. Thumbs up review from me.

The best thing about having a break between ending a role at one company and starting a new role at a new company is you have time to update your Suckless apps and configure them.

Today, st, dmenu, slock have all be updated to the latest version. A little addition of blur and pixelation to the lock screen and some very minor transparency with blur to st.
