plain edition ⋯
highlight edition
I've been working on taking the old Win 3.x style window theme and adapting it for Adwaita's color palette. I actually think it would be good to de-round Adwaita and try to make something familiar, cohesive, and approachable. Or, if you're feeling like a heckler, unoriginal.
Two versions right now, one with minimal focus window highlighting (plain edition) and one with color to differentiate (highlight edition). Do note that I'm not using a compositor here, so I have no window shadows. I imagine it could be a little easier to differentiate windows with shadows on, for some folks.
[GTK2 & GTK3+] ⋯ [XFWM theme is currently underway] ⋯ [Icons] ⋯ [Cursors] ⋯ [UI fonts]

trixie cinnamon

It came with gnome-terminal and pulseaudio, those have been changed for xfce4-terminal and pipewire.
That looks pretty good. How much gnome did it pull in?

Other than gnome-terminal, which I replaced (no transparency), quite a bit. It could be trimmed down, I might try that. Removing a package that removes most of the meta-package and then reinstall things...

It works nicely as-is, though.

Square windows and slightly gaudy windecs (every button always outlined). I like it.

Indeed it does. Installed trixie with Cinnamon and removed some gnome stuff (games mostly):
Tried the Cinnamon-Wayland experimental desktop. Other than the wallpaper not working OOTB, it was pretty smooth.

Noticed that too. You can right-click an image and there's a 'set as wallpaper' context menu item that works.
Sweet desktop. Terminal? Wallpaper? I haven't heard of newaita icons, cool...

Query Mt. Fuji on any wallpaper site will bring up the wallpaper. I forget the name of the temple, but it's a popular spot to photograph Fuji and/or cherry blossoms (sakura ).
