Fresh reinstall since Audacity went and filled my entire root partition with temporary garbage … again.  I should really make a habit of going through and cleaning it all up more frequently.  Insert windoze-style popup here proclaiming a user error ("loose screw behind the wheel") for Internet funny points?

Resisting the urge to theme it completely different than what comes OOTB with Debian these days, I decided instead to roll with it and see if I could make something decent with it based mostly on what you get by default.  It turns out Adwaita isn't too terrible at all when you take all those rounded edges everywhere and straighten them out.  Maybe I should (finally) try my hand at "designing" a theme and try to do that, to "de-round" Adwaita … ahh, I have a feeling it would take me longer than expected.

^ Not pictured here is my second monitor, a Gateway EV700AA.  Personally, I dislike screenshots of setups that have mismatched resolutions.  It looks fine in real life, but a digital representation usually doesn't account for spacing between monitors or perspective distortion, or hell, even dust/glare …

You're not missing much either way, I only use that monitor as a secondary ever now and then.  It doesn't have any taskbars, desktop icons, or conkys.  I play some games on it, but not too many.  I am a Linux user, after all

Interesting.  The 2.5D look of the launchers (?) gives it a NeXTSTEP/Openstep/GNUstep vibe

Well the clock tower in the wallpaper is a little wonky as it doesn't have dots for every hour, but near as I can tell it says about 5:37 which is the same time your desktop clock in the panel says it is.
