I am using crunchbang on an old ASUS eeepc, and it works great! With the addition of a usb wifi dongle, it has revived a practically useless computer.
I would like to reverse the up/down scroll gestures for the trackpad, but I don't see an interface tool, and don't know which files to edit, to change it.
Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

You probably need to use `synclient` : synclient manpages
Also have a look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics

This one is slightly non-obvious:
synclient vertscrolldelta=-50
EDIT: Welcome to BunsenLabs!
EDIT2: Add the "vertscrolldelta=-50" bit to the synclient command in ~/.config/openbox/autostart
