Keyboard shortcuts are in Settings>Keyboard, you'll want gnome-tweaks for changing themes/icons and fonts and some extra configs, you'll probably want dconf-editor, I prefer gnome-shell-extension-manager to gnome-shell-extension-preferences because it has fewer dependencies, and a neat feature is to enable "Locate Pointer" in Settings>Accesibility>Pointing and Clicking, that shows an animation around your cursor when you hit left Ctrl. You can set your CapsLck preference in Gnome Tweaks>Keyboard>Layouts>Additional Layout options. Super key and start typing to find an app. Super key twice quickly to see all apps (or Super+a by default).
That's all the tips I can think of to get started with GNOME 48.
Auto Move Windows (https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/ … e-windows/) is also a handy extension.

^^ ^ Thanks; but gnome lasted maybe a day. I just never stick with that DE.
Lol, no problem.

LinuxHub with openbox window manager that I installed on my testing laptop. A very interesting Arch based distro that can install various DEs or window managers plus build custom distros to suit one's needs or tastes.
I use Arch BTW! If it is not rolling, it is stagnant!
RebornOS, EndeavourOS, Archbang, Artix,
Linuxhub Prime, Manjaro, Void, PCLinuxOS

Screenshot of the drive on my testing laptop. Of the ten distros installed, 7 are Arch based, two are debian based and one is an independant (PCLinuxOS).

@PackRat, we had rain last night (I don't know how much} and a lot of light rain this morning, but nothing torrential. We've been in a drought for a few months now, so it's been needed.

Added CacyOS with openbox back to my testing laptop. Removed Elive and used its partion for CachyOS. Now up to 8 Arch based distros, one debian based and one independant.

hyprland will most likely never be in the Void repos.
There is a 3rd party repo you can add. Instructions on the hyprland site.
This install of Void is my Wayland testing install so I went ahead and added the repo.
I always have them disabled.
Which line does that? I've just started reading through the example config.
Edit - found it. Much better.
You must unlearn what you have learned.

If you recall, I had Hyprland running on Ubuntu quite awhile ago. March of last year...
https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 90#p133090
There were some really weird window heirarchies with x-wayland popup windows back then that made me drop it. Plus the maintainer is a piece of work. I filed a bug last year, it's still being worked on, sort of. The dev is a terminal-only uWu guy, so GUI windows is not his thing.
https://github.com/hyprwm/Hyprland/issues/5358
And then there was my shadow bug report, which I reopened from an earlier complaint, agreed with him, then somebody else chimed in and called him a dick, in so many words...
https://github.com/hyprwm/Hyprland/issues/5275
There was also this whole debacle...

Yay linux!
Anyway, a cool retro-scrot of Hyprland from last year...
I do like Hyprland, almost exclusively because of the Bling. I think it's the only WM I've spent time learning and configuring over the last year. I hated swaybar, though. Also, I miss El_Koraco.

I think you mean "improved".

I need to workout how to move the Gentoo logo to the left of the text rather than having it above.

I improved it some more - colours only remain
Actually liking the colour combo of Dragon (openbox/gtk) and an icon theme I've been working on.
