Trying out this new to me Arch based distro. From distrowatch:

Helwan Linux is an Arch-based distribution featuring the Cinnamon desktop. Helwan offers localization for Arabic users and includes both system rescue and developer tools.

^ @chroot, nice! Also, I'm digging your recent GNOME scrots.

It's nice to have KDE on it's own drive with no other window managers. No qt/GTK conflicts etc .... I went with the minimal plasma-desktop install...

I feel the same, and it's how I set up my trixie GNOME Wayland-only partition. I did add a handful of qt packages for the one qt app I currently use (Picard for audio tags), like qt5-gtk-platformtheme, qt6-gtk-platformtheme and qt-wayland, and in case I install others.

GNOME and Plasma on Wayland are getting better and better with each new release. I have installed GNOME 48.1 and removed all qt packages on the laptop. Have to admit that I am impressed by how smooth it runs.
