Clone the git repo then get the scripts and icons copied to the correct paths. You can look at the script itself and the example executors for the path information. Looks like he uses:

~/.config/tint2/executors

and

~/.config/tint2/executors/icons

for the default paths.

Once the scripts and icons are in place, add the executors to the tint2rc (https://gitlab.com/o9000/tint2/blob/master/doc/tint2.md).

Update.  I managed to get it working, but only by going pure Pulseaudio (because it was written exclusively for Pulse, and I don't know how to change that)
