Bunsens presence in network breaks Windows VPN next to it

Got a peculiar but at the moment a awkward issue with Bunsen and that is that having a machine powered on with bunsen in the local network e.g. no specific configs, just having the network cable plugged into the same cable modem as another machine that my wife uses via wifi for work with windows 11 machine breaks it's VPN. It uses a proprietary VPN software that is very sensitive to network changes and it kills the connection even if you just look at it in a way it doesn't like but for some reason having linux powered on here next to it makes the thing just flop over and die of cringe. Repeatedly. So badly in fact i have noted i cant de facto use linux when she is working. And this only happens when Bunsen is powered on.

To get some kind of real world settings together here what is bunsen doing as a default in the network? Not familiar does linux have some kind of broadcasting going on in the network? Mind you i do have a Windows 11 myself here and it is fine. Even if it has network discovery powered on. So if it's linux equivalent network discovery doing this then how is that different and what can be done about it?

BunsenLabs does not touch the network settings at all - it's pure Debian.

To see what you're broadcasting you can open "connection information" in the system tray network applet, or use any of the dozens of linux networking utilities.

You could play with the settings in the network applet and try to pin down what is causing the VPN interference.

Have you got another Linux computer running something other than BL or Debian to compare?

Beyond that, I'm afraid you'll need help from someone more familiar with network intricacies than me.

I'll try those. It is a strange thing all of this to be quite honest but with some testing i might be able to find something. The disconnects are quite systematic and comes very quickly once Bunsen is running here next to it.

I do have a MXLinux and a Arch system here too.
