I've always enjoyed the Midori take on things. I can't imagine this is very much like the Midori i recall from the old days of Fedora Core, but....
i kicked the tires and gave her a good run around the block.
i say old chap. thats a clean machine youve got there.

Oh, remember Midori Browser, it was default on an old distro I used years ago, but I don t remember which one it was.

I didn't notice that midori has been dropped in bookworm. The bullseye version was 7.0, current is 11.3. Worth checking out.

I seem to remember some years back Debian security quit even trying to keep Midori patched in Stable.
It's a pretty nice lightish-weight browser, but given the fact security fixes don't trickle down I hesitated to run the version in the Debian repos as my main browser even before it got dropped.

Tracking the current version is probably fine security wise, if you're willing to accept the risks of breakage that come with software from outside the repos.

midori cannot be installed under labwc (xwayland) because the runtime libraries cannot be installed.

~/Downloads$ sudo apt install ./midori_11.3.3_amd64.deb

it's because Midori is using rather old libraries that no longer are installable in a newer Debian release.
