@Döbbie03, considered 4K monitors for my desktop but the girl helping me didn't know the range of resolution available. If you decrease your resolution, do you retain the crisp picture quality, I mean with reason? My personal issue was, having to use my reader glasses on the desktop as I'm forced to on my laptop.

Most sales people don't know squat about what they are selling. I do my own research and tell them what I want.
So I use a 32" 4k monitor, I keep the scaling 1:1 (100%) but I do have very good eyesight. Obviously the smaller the panel, the smaller the displayed image will be at full 4k res. If you go smaller than 32", say 28" you'll probably need to up the scaling by about 20%.
The answer to your question, The image stays pretty crisp. Personally, I wouldn't be using anything smaller than 32" monitor for desktop, but that's my preference. Less dicking around with settings/resolutions etc that way too.

Thanks man, I'll consider what you've said as it's 4X the information I got from her at the time. What's the connection architecture, HDMI?

I prefer DisplayPort personally, it seems to be a more reliable connection than an HDMI. I'm not sure what the latest DP or HDMI version is but what ever way you go, make sure the lead you purchase is of the same version. Though you should get one in the box.
Also, if you don't like your monitor being anything other than a monitor, avoid Samsung. I have a Samsung Viewfinity (which I bought for the built in ThunderBolt) and it is a pain in my arse....long story.

^ Understood and cables can make all the difference. If I go 4K, It'll still be dual displays for the desktop. Expensive but I'm beginning to see the obvious benefit. Truly appreciate your input my friend. Thx again

Weird, it was what I was talking about with one of my friends about display cables & next time I ll get a DP cable instead of an HDMI, anyways I don t have built in speakers on my monitor.
Which DP cables do you use just for the heck of it.(If you remember it )

No brand in particular, just one that's relevant to the latest DP or HDMI version. I'd use HDMI if I had to rely on the monitor speakers I would use HDMI but as I don't, I just stick with DP.

BL carbon theme proposal progress (bunsen-Yaru-sage-dark, a second dark default desktop that compliments bunsen-Yaru-bark-dark, and swapping xfce4-power-manager with mate-power-manager)...
Looking sharp. That's really nice.

All the thanks! Muchos Gracias.
It's a honking big MATE/GNOME 2 screen-brightness notification window, so I just embraced it with a hacked icon that matches the rest better.

Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor - U3224KB
https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-ul … ccessories
Who has enough money, this is a giant monitor, a friend of mine bought it and while i was looking at it, it was exceptional in terms of the quality of the screen, PPI, colors, case and so many awesome settings.
I have one like this.
Dell UltraSharp 32 4K USB-C Hub Monitor - U3223QE
https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-ul … ccessories
This is also exceptional with a somewhat acceptable price.
In my opinion, it is worth investing in your monitor. Just be aware, only get 4K and higher, never go back to 2K or 1080p if you want the quality of a crispy text and calm colors.
And, use Display Port (DP) on such Monitors, DP is the better over HDMI.

I... like it! I would change the neon-green accents, but that's just, like... my opinion, man.

Thanks.
I added green to contrast the yellow and red.
I also often turn off notifications (Do Not Disturb) so the icon appears there.

EDIT
Added button normal image.
