Cheers.
It wasn't that much of an effort, really.
1) Open The GIMP
2) New - 3840x2160 with transparent background
3} Paste as a new layer the Primordial image I found on Kagi
4) New layer to match the original #ffffff
5) Add new #000000 layer with exactly 73.2% opacity
6} Add some visual noise via HSV filter
7) Export as Primordial.png
8) Set as new wallpaper with feh
9) Crack another beer and immediately change to a different wallpaper.

@Doob's The only part my lizard brain got from that was, "crack another beer". Kidding of course,But not really. I'll start playing with The Gimp and see if I can replicate your results. Or, at least approximate them. Thanks for the how to.

Quick alpha notes:
- Github desktop installs but fails to connect (possibly issue with firefox/firewall, dunno)
- Cosmic editor can't seem to show hidden dirs (the ones starting with .), ctrl+h shortcut doesn't do anything. Possibly the limit of 'open files' dialogue.
- Firefox misses the minimize icon (terminal and vscode have one)

@brontosaurusrex, what are your impressions (likes/dislikes)?
No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

@hhh, Will play with it some more before any judgement, but as far as the looks, I like it (probably very close to how I would configure gnome). Another note would be; I would expect ctrl + mouse scroll to work as zoom in/out on any modern linux app.

Carbon with xfce4-panel and a minimal conky. I created an xfce4-notifyd and openbox theme to match the rest of Yaru-sage-dark theme/icons...
It's been a while since I've used xfce4-screenshooter, the version in trixie/sid now says "Deprecated!" with a warning icon next to the "Host on Imgur" option, and a link to this page...

Where does it say "deprecated"? Not on the package page: https://packages.debian.org/trixie/xfce4-screenshooter You mean on the upload dialogue itself?
On Bookworm there's a warning square by the imgur upload option that pops up a disclaimer: "watch for sensitive content, the uploaded image will be publicly available... etc" but that page now linked is new.
I can understand their point of view for sure. BL's screenshot utility also asks "Do you want to upload anonymously to Imgur?" and has a link to the T.O.S.
Anyway, XFCE and BL have the option of leaving it to the user to fix up an upload plugin themselves, or of providing some default action.
I think for us, it's OK to go on using Imgur. Maybe we can ship some plugin for the xfce4-screenshooter too.
...elevator in the Brain Hotel, broken down but just as well...
( a boring Japan blog (currently paused), now on Bluesky, there's also some GitStuff )

Yes, on the GUI popup that displays after the scrot is taken. The option will likely be removed before trixie is released, IMO.

Post-scrot dialog...
That's very pretty!
Thanks! It has an executive-desktop look that I quite like.
I forgot to mention, the wall is from unsplash, which is licensed for free use, and I color-shifted it...
