I use konsole as my tool of choice for running multiple terminal windows. In the past, it has always been "color pleasing" out of the box. In the boron release, the konsole tabbar now displays each tab with a background color of black, and I assume the tab text is also black because the tab labels do not show up.
I have been trying to adjust the coloring for 2 or 3 days now and have made no progress. I even tried re-installing boron to see if I did something wrong during the installation.
Can anyone give pointers on how I can change the konsole tab colors?
Thanks in advance.

Something is very wrong with my version of konsole. When I select "Settings" from the menu bar and then select "Configure Konsole", the window that pops up is mostly black and unreadable. This is on a system that is freshly installed. If I select other options, the black background shows up on many of them.

BL sets no configs for konsole. Please try changing the GTK theme: User Settings > Appearance
If konsole is OK with a default theme like Adwaita then we might have an issue with the Boron-aqua GTK theme.

Changing to Adwaita did the trick. Thanks so much for the help on this issue.
