Ah cool.  I used to use Numix until Papirus came on the scene.  I haven't used anything else since, Adwaita Dark has been my only theme for I don't know how long.

No it's mine. This laptop dual boots Void and Win 11. I needed Windows to use Windows today, then left it on for a few hours to see if there were any updates.

Hey cool, necessary evil !

Bet that I ll be in the same boat with a future desktop, my mother s one s pretty dated & she doesn t want t buy another one as she has some ipads, & iphones ,( but windows might as well be needed in order to print/scan paperwork or whatever she needs some times), so that she can use my pc for her own use for that.

So a while ago I bought a mid tower some years ago & a friend of mine gets rid of his Intel rig as he s transiting to AMD for mining or bitcoin, whatever it is , so we ll make something out of some parts I bought in order to build my pc & some stuff that he has already, let s hope that it will work ! lol

The thing with be to have a dual boot , dual drive install with win 10 & some linux distros in the same tower, of wich I think will be some real nice pain you know where !

That's the only way to dual boot Win 10/11 and Linux - multiple drives. This laptop has two drives on it.

back on Linux -

^ Yeah, beautiful. I'd like a little more info. Like, I don't know, OS, DE, WM, compositor.

BTW, not loving the RAM usage, even with Chrome running.

Thanks big_smile. A while ago i posted one with these data. I don't often post more data out at the terminal to avoid breaking it simplicity. Sometimes i get them out in other ways.

I didn't like it either, but it's openSUSE, a bloody resource hungry monster smile I have installed it as as Server firstly, but still too much bloated with packages with 1000 (rpm) and 650M only on tty1, Once i launch KDE take 1.5G (tweaked and optimized), if i had installed it officially will it takes 2G on idle by doing only nothing. On the background i'm running Elisa player, that's a bit heavy player for a music player by its nature as it operates with baloo. Chrome have some tabs open and some Web services like Telegram, WhatsApp, Youtube. To some extent, they are justified imo, that's why i added 32G in total of RAM on the machine. I understand it, it's a bloody hungry System + KDE which i have accepted.

Your post above, or those of Dobb's are the complete opposite. Maybe you do a more careful job of memory management than i do.

I *think* the shadows around firefox are a VM video driver quirk. Don't quote me on that!

BTW, can you share (or point me to if already have) your waybar configs please?
